Hello!

I’m Frannie, and I am passionate about creating lifelong learners. I spent my 25+ years of teaching in Jewish Day Schools. I created and implemented hands-on projects and simulation units to teach and enhance standards and skills in upper elementary classrooms.

I soon realized that students were not Jewish for an hour or two a day, and there needed to be more time to teach the subjects separately to the desired depth. So, I blended Judaic content with General Studies skills and standards. I also found many avenues to infuse general studies with Judaic content.

Throughout my years in the classroom, I witnessed first-hand how projects supported my students and helped them to thrive while enhancing their skills and deepening their knowledge.

I have taught worldwide, most of my time in upper elementary. I have also taught in preschool, middle and high school, and adult education classrooms. I incorporate technology whenever possible and have pursued various certifications to do this well.

Teaching Philosophy

It is essential to teach to the whole child.

Every student comes to us with their history, areas of strength, and areas ripe for growth. As educators, we must reach each child and move them from where they are to their highest potential.

Using projects to teach, enhance, and build skills and standards allowed me to do just that by being able to differentiate for each student and set my students’ academic (and sometimes personal) goals. Projects provide students with the required skills not in isolation but as part of a project they create or a simulation in which they participate.

The key to a successful classroom is differentiated instruction. There is no such thing as a cookie-cutter lesson. Each student is unique, bringing their gifts into the room.

My resources aim to empower students to be independent thinkers and inspire them to be positive forces in the world. My classroom is organized yet spontaneous, nurturing yet structured, challenging yet relaxed.

Here at MENSCHENABLES, you will find resources infused with literature analysis, mathematical concepts, technology skills, Jewish values and teachings, critical thinking, and more. These products and resources engage projects that are easily differentiated in any classroom.
